Account, sign-in and two-factor authentication
Sign in with email, GitHub or Google, reset or change your password, turn two-factor authentication on or off, edit your profile, and delete a workspace.
Sign-in methods
Email and password (8+ characters), or the GitHub / Google buttons. Signing in with GitHub is separate from connecting GitHub for deployments. If you signed up with GitHub or Google, Settings → Security → Set a password adds email sign-in.
Forgot password
- Sign-in page → Forgot password?, enter your email, Send reset link.
- Use the emailed link within 30 minutes to set a new password.
The page always says "If an account with that email exists, a password reset link has been sent". GitHub- or Google-only accounts get no reset email: sign in with that provider.
Change password
Settings → Security → Change password: current password, then the new one twice. You can't reuse your current password. Other devices are signed out.
Two-factor authentication
- Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (1Password, Google Authenticator, Authy…).
- Enter the 6-digit code.
Password sign-ins then ask for a code. To turn it off, confirm with a current code; workspaces requiring 2FA will lock you out until it's back on. There are no recovery codes: if you lose your device, contact support from your account's email.
Profile and workspace
- Settings → Profile: full name and avatar URL. Email can't be changed here; contact support.
- Settings → Workspace: rename (admins, owners) and copy the Workspace ID.
Delete a workspace
Settings → Danger zone → Delete workspace… (owner only): delete its apps and databases first, cancel any paid plan, then type the workspace name. This permanently removes the workspace, members, credentials, storage settings and billing.
Deleting your personal account isn't available in the dashboard; contact support.
Suspensions
"your account has been suspended — contact support" or "this organization is suspended — contact support to restore deployments" means a MarvX administrator restricted access. Contact support.
